There are numerous opportunities for active participation in and around the Lake Chiemsee.

Sailing on the lake comes first. You can either bring your own boat or rent one from one on the nearby rental companies. It is possible to rent electric, rowing, pedal boots or even Kayaks close to our holiday house..

Cycling is very popular at Lake Chiemsee. Explore the lake by bike  (approximately 64 km). If it all gets too much, then you can just jump on the Chiemsee bus which has a bike trailer and you can return by “bus” to your original starting point.

Chiemgau also offers numerious hiking possibilities, from a small hike right up to proper mountaineering.

Or you could take the boat over to Herrenchiemsee  where you will be able to visit King Ludwig II. Castle. Fraueninsel with its own unique character is a must whilst here in Germany. The boat to the Herrenchiemsee and Fraueninsel leave from Prien or Gstadt. It is also possible to practicipate in mini golf, golf, tennis, horseriding, climbing, karting or balloning.

When the weather´s not good then you may want to pay a visit to the thermal baths in Bad Endorf, Bad Aibling or Erding. Exhibitions are held in Rosenheim, Munich or Salzburg. Shopping trips to Munich (90 km) or to Salzburg (70 km). The Mozart city of Salzburg is always worth a visit.

And last but not least check out the concerts that are held regulary at the Steinbruch in Rohrdorf or in Gut Immling.

If you are not interested in any of the above, then why not just go for a lovely swim in the lovely waters of Lake Chiemsee followed by a relaxing lounger on our lawn where you can take in the breath taking views.
